There are more than 25 Organizations that engage in fellowship as an important step in growing to be more like Jesus, we invite you to consider joining one of our ministries.
Episcopal Church Women
Chairperson: Francilla Moore
Meeting Time: 2nd Sunday of each month after the 7:30 am service
Uniting the women of the Diocese in a program of worship, study, service, gifts and fellowship which will deepen and strengthen their own spiritual life.
The Lamplighters
President: Joan Welch-Ince
Meeting Time: 1st Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm.
Visiting and praying and delivering flowers and harvest baskets to the sick ans shut-ins, in their home, in the hospital, the nursing home or other health-related facility.
Men on a Mission
President:
Meeting Time: 1st Monday of each month at 7:30 pm.
Men-on a Mission was formed out of the Million Man March in 1995. This organization is committed to the community and to St. Luke's. For many years they have sponsored an Oldies but Goodies night in January on the eve of Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday celebration, and an Annual Gospel-Jazz concert in May. Funds raised from these events are distributed as scholarship grants.
Nursing & Allied Outreach
President: Sybil Francis
Meeting Time: 2nd Sunday after the 7:30 am service.
The goals of Nursing and Allied Outreach are to
promote and maintain mental and physical wellness through preventative health education. The group is comprised of nurses and other health care professionals.
Parish Council
Led by the Wardens / The Rector
Meeting Time: last Thursday of every other month at 7:30 pm.
The Parish Council was formed to coordinate the annual calendar of events and efforts by the many groups and organizations in the church and share the concerns of the congregants. Membership constitutes two representatives or heads of each organization.
Chancel Choir
President:
Meeting Time: Friday evenings at 7:30 pm
Leading the church in worship through the ministry of music. Fundraising, efforts include co-sponsoring concerts and/or rallies with other choral groups of the church.
St. Luke's Guild
Chairperson: Mrs. Sandra Miller
Meeting Time: 3rd Sunday of each month after the 10:00 am service
Also known as the Rector’s Guild, is channeling efforts to raise funds annual for the Rector's Discretionary Fund used to assist parishioners in need of financial assistance.
